The Santa Barbara Paralegal Association (formerly Legal Assistants Association of Santa Barbara) was formed in 1979 as a nonprofit organization to promote the paralegal profession, to develop a network for the exchange of information and ideas, to encourage greater utilization of paralegals by the legal community, and to increase public awareness and understanding of the paralegal profession.
Our Mission
- To establish good fellowship among Association members, The National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc., The California Alliance of of Paralegal Associations, and members of the legal community.
- To encourage a high order of ethical and professional attainment.
- To further education among members of the paralegal profession.
- To cooperate with bar associations.
- To support and carry out the programs, purposes, aims and goals of The National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc., and the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations.
