REMINDER: In this time of extreme governmental budget shortfalls at all levels and with all agencies, be certain to check with each jurisdiction as to possible furlough days, local court rules (filing requirements, etc.), and especially the manner in which filings will be accepted. Many jurisdictions do not accept fax filings, while others impose particular requirements even for filings by mail. For quick access to all court websites for California, http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/courts

As per our Probate Examiner, Christine Estrada, probate hearings will be heard on Thursday mornings at 9 a.m., instead of on Fridays at 9:00 a.m. Apparently, notices from the court on all cases with previously calendared hearings are being mailed; if you have any questions, you are encouraged to contact the Court Clerk’s Office. You are also welcome to contact Lori Lewis, Esq., 2010 Chair of the Probate Section of the SB County Bar Association at 805-966-1501 or by email to llewis@mullenlaw.com
